The Santa Coloma Church, the oldest church in the country, is notable for its tall, rounded three-stage tower – very different from the more typical square design of other church towers. This magnificent old stone structure dates from the 9th century. It has a 12th-century statue of the Virgin of Coloma and many Mozarabic frescoes. Besides that, a castle was built in the 12th century, just some steps from the church-Sant Vicenç d’Enclar. Take the short hike up to this 12th-century castle.
